Embracing the unusual in Perth’s northern corridor.
From giant inflatable water dragons to spontaneous flash mobs, the 2025 Joondalup Festival isn’t your typical arts event. With an ambitious 22-day program of performances, exhibitions, and mind-bending experiences, the festival team approached us with a challenge: how do you capture three weeks of controlled chaos in digital form?
Taking cues from Joondalup’s signature geometric patterns, we created playful animations and dynamic transitions that guide you through the program without getting in the way.
Whether you’re hunting for family-friendly weekend activities or late-night experimental performances, the new responsive design helps you plan your festival adventure across any device without losing any of the creative energy that makes the Joondalup Festival special. What began as a simple update evolved into a complete rebuild, setting the stage for the festival’s future growth while maintaining all its bold artistic spirit.
“I went to Start to update our existing festival website and fell in love with them right from the ‘Start’…
I was worried about the short time frame to turn around the changes but from the moment I spoke to Neil, he put me at ease – and convinced me that his dynamic team could rebuild the entire thing instead! A few months later and here I am with a fabulous, funky and fully functional new website.
Thank you so much to Crissy, Tom, Emily and the whole gang. This young, fresh and effervescent team really have their finger on the pulse when it comes to all things digital (and more) and I wouldn’t hesitate to work with them again.”
