Inventium are Australia’s leading innovation consultants. Since their inception in 2007, Inventium has helped nearly a million people all around the globe innovate and optimise their businesses.
A long-time client of Start Digital, Start have created websites for Inventium and their supporting initiatives through the Australian Financial Review. Amantha, Michelle and the passionate team at Inventium asked Start to push the boundaries of design on their new website and we gave it a good hot go.
Project Overview
Set on helping organisations tackle the future and thrive in today’s rapidly changing world, Inventium approached our agency at the end of 2020 with their new messaging – Future Fit. After some discovery sessions and late-night discussions, we settled on looking at innovation and science through a retro-futuristic lens.
With several visual themes including the old-school application of black and white, and halftone print, we strategically composed collages and futuristic elements to help tell the Inventium story. We also managed to sneak in a few of our favourite pop culture references – hello Delorean!
We spent weeks pulling and putting together all of these different elements into one – creating a retro-futuristic design entirely unique to Inventium, aligning with their distinctive history, methodologies and personnel.
Dating back to our original website together, it has always been important for the Inventium team to have full control over the site post-launch so, alongside the unique design approach, we ensured the backend functionality was simple and easy to use. Since the original launch, the Inventium team have posted countless blogs, ticketed events and new pages.
