From a business marketing perspective, videos are the real deal. Don’t believe us? Here are a few statistics courtesy of WordStream:

  • 87% of online marketers present their content through video
  • Revenue growth occurs 49% faster for video users than non-video using marketers and businesses
  • Video audiences retain 95% of a message compared to reading it as a text
  • It is expected that video traffic will account of 80% of digital consumer traffic by 2019

The reason videos are so big in a business environment is because they’re even bigger on our personal ones. According to Hubspot, one-third of online activity is dedicated to watching videos.

With that in mind, we think it’s only fitting to share with you 9 must have video apps. Whether you’re interested in videos for business use, personal use or a bit of both, we’ve got you covered!

  4. Wait for the video to be created

One downside of Magisto is it can be rather expensive to get the most out of the app. Magisto offers several in-app purchases for premium themes, premium downloads and more. Furthermore, Magisto offers a premium service called Magisto Professional which allows users to enjoy commercially licensed music, HD downloads, branded movies and further editing such as adding a logo. 3. VHS Camcorder

  • Available on Android & iOS
  • Price: $4.99 (Android) & $5.99 (iOS)

Without a doubt, the VHS Camcorder isn’t as popular as it was years ago. Kendall Jenner has probably deleted the app, Wiz Khalifa won’t be using it to edit the video of him if he were to get arrested again for using a hoverboard and we’re pretty sure, not everyone and their grandma’s are still using it. (At least, our Nan’s aren’t using it anymore…) However, VHS Camcorder is still one of Start Digital’s favourite video apps.

For those who don’t know, VHS Camcorder is an editing app which applies a throwback filter on videos, making them seem as if they were recorded on an old-school camcorder. VHS allows for four different filters: being none, retro colour, black and white or nuclear, in addition to the use of genuine or spoof dates, HD recording, flashing titles and sound distortions to match the visuals.

VHS Camcorder is a must have because it’s never going to get old.

4. IncrediBooth Video

Also made by Hipstamatic, IncrediBooth is a video app which digitalises a photo booth. Much like a traditional, physical photo booth, IncrediBooth requires people to cram together, strike a pose before striking a few more all whilst everything is being recorded into a video strip.

Although it might not be appropriate for professional use, IncrediBooth is a brilliant app for people who are interested in capturing their favourite memories in a way more exciting than just a normal video!

7. Hyperspektiv

  • Available on iOS
  • Price: $1.49

Hyperspektiv made our list for the 9 killer photo apps that you need right now. Truth is, it’s not only a killer photo app but primarily, a killer video app. Hyperspektiv allows users to capture a live video or import a previously recorded video before applying one of its dope effects which include Bender, Ink, LA Gear, Meltphace, Mirror, Spiro and Terminator.

Hyperspektiv is has the ability to make any video crazy wicked. It’s a must have!

8. Glitché

  • Price: $0.99
  • In-App Purchases: Glitché Pro: $4.49 per month or $29.49 per year or $54.99 for a one-time purchase

Another killer photo app that can be credited as a wicked video app is Glitché. Unfortunately, unlike Hyperskeptiv, not all of Glitché’s effects are accessible for video editing upon the first purchase ($0.99). Only Glitch, Scan, Rad and Ghost in the Shell are. All the other effects such as CHNNLS, PXL GRIB and LCD become accessible after purchasing Glitché Pro. It can be a bit expensive purchasing the premium offering, however, if you’re really into your videos it’s well worth it! Nonetheless, the 4 video effects alone make this app deserving of a download. (And that’s not even taking into consideration Glitché’s photo editing ability.)

9. Hyperlapse

Made by Instagram, Hyperlapse focuses on creating time-lapse videos. The app creates high-quality motion shots without the hassle of bulky tripods and badly denting your bank account for high-range videography equipment. Hyperlapse is another app which has hit its peak but we still use it regularly because there’s just something stunning about a well-executed hyperlapse video. At times you might want to pull your hair out because getting that perfect motion video can be difficult. However, Hyperlapse is a must have because the results can be absolutely breathtaking. Need more convincing on Hyperlapse? Well here it is:
