The Highways Group are a collection of businesses within the road construction, maintenance and management sector. Each of the businesses websites were being managed by separate agencies and as such there was little control over web hosting, domain management, marketing and site maintenance.
What Did We Do:
Start Digital were engaged in 2016 to create new websites for Highway Construction, Intersectional Linemarkers and Highways Traffic. Additionally we consolidated domain and hosting management, improved search engine ranking and created a new logo for Highways Traffic.
All sites were over 6 years old and, despite engaging other agencies for SEO, none of the sites were ranking for any relevant keywords or winning new leads.
We worked closely with each business to create content relevant to the main keyword terms and ensured that each site structure was meaningful and could be built upon as each business grew.
Each of the sites was built on the WordPress platform and they were optimised to perform on Google. This work included image compression and tagging, minifying code, meta description tags and server optimisation.
Upon launching the new sites there was an immediate up turn in ranking. Within 6 months all 3 sites were ranking first for their main keyword phrases.
We continue to provide SEO and marketing services to Highway Construction and Highways Traffic in 2023. Both sites continue to rank first for the same keywords on the same sites that were built 7 years earlier.
