The team at Thermomix required two websites to help promote books by celebrity chefs, Dani Valent and Louise Keats. The books and their associated websites, titled ‘Entertaining with Dani Valent’ and ‘Sweet Nourish’, promoted a wide variety of recipes that could be created by the Thermomix.
We were given a clear project brief and had full access to some of the most incredible food photography! The sites required clean, functional navigation, strategies to improve engagement and a visual style that clearly linked with the books.
The design and development teams liaised to create buzzfeed-esque quizzes, smooth moving, responsive image carousels and beautiful recipe pages that showcased the quality and detail of the books. Both sites were promoted by Thermomix and were heavily advertised on social media.
A project isn’t a project unless there are a few hurdles. The biggest hurdle for the design and development of the two sites was the timeline. All project documentation and files were delivered on Christmas Eve and the delivery was for the last week of January. Christmas? Ha. New Year? Double ha!
We liaised throughout the process with the design team to deliver all aspects of the sites on time and on budget. Once launched the sites were handed over to the Thermomix web team to administer and manage. Big tick’s all around.
