Since 2004 iQuest have been providing dedicated IT support and IT consulting to some of Western Australia’s most recognised companies. Despite their standing and reputation the iQuest website was getting very little traffic and winning no leads. Like many companies in the IT sector iQuest were focused on providing excellent services for their own clients and had neglected their website.
Our brief was to create a site that demonstrated the depth of services iQuest provide and highlight the value their services bring to clients. The new site also needed to improve Google ranking and increase site engagement. No mean feat!
We met with the iQuest team in their St Georges Terrace offices and identified the main goal of the website was to win new business. Whilst design and presentation was important the team felt the priority was to improve ranking and in turn attract more relevant leads.
We researched all the main competitors and worked closely with iQuest to create Google friendly text that contained the right combination of keywords and natural language to help search engines understand the services iQuest provide. In addition to this we ensured the headers were tagged and images were fully optimised.
With no specific branding or style guide we used the existing iQuest logo as a base and created a site that is clean, professional and descriptive. The site uses stock imagery that connects the iQuest service with their target audience and the website is designed to be easy to read, informative and displayed perfectly on all devices.
The project approach has seen the site rapidly rise in ranking and generate a large number of web driven enquiries every week. We continue to work with Anderson and the iQuest team to ensure the site is always up to date and performing to capacity. We also provide a range of supporting services including brochure creation and copywriting.
Following the launch in September 2016 the site immediately started to increase in ranking. By December 2016 the site was on page 1 for the core keywords – not obscure longtail words, big ticket keywords that generate traffic.
Throughout 2017 the new iQuest site became more established on page 1 and started progressing higher before hitting the top three spots for all keywords. As of writing in mid 2018 the site ranks 2nd for ‘IT support Perth’, 2nd for ‘Corporate IT Perth’ and 2nd for ‘IT services Perth’. This huge leap in ranking has seen an 85% increase in site traffic and accounts for nearly all leads.
